The excursion usually starts at Rychtarka coach park (other meeting points available). Historical buildings and monuments to be seen during the guided tour: The Square of Republic - Town Hall, the Plague Column and the Cathedral of St. Bartholomew, historical town houses at the square mostly in baroque and renessance styles; modern hotel Central and expressing art-fountains etc.
Jewish Synagogue at Klatovská Street - third biggest synagogue in the world, Theatre of Josef Kajetan Tyl - a beautiful Neo-Renaissance building; Americká Street where a huge granite monument “Thanks to America” built in 90s of 20th century.
Smetana Yards with the Library in the building of former Convent of Dominican Nuns. Franciscan Monastery - the oldest local complex (as the legend says older building than the town). The West Bohemia Museum - one of the town’s dominants, situated in а very calm locality between the Smetana Yards and the Křižík Yards.
The Butcher’s shop from 14th century, the Former Water Tower from 16th century, and the remains of the town walls. Then the guided tour is usually finished at The Square of Republic.
